My passion for taking photos started when my parents gave me a camera for my 8th birthday, and with the aid of some books from the library I set about learning the basics of photography. By the time I was 14 I had a SLR Camera and had done my 1st wedding for a relative. I started going to Thruxton and Castle Combe race circuits and Matchams Park moto x track taking photos from every angle possible. Over the years the passion grew stronger and I replaced my cameras and lenses for professional equipment and started to supply newspapers and magazines with some of my work. I have competed in many different forms of motor sport, including karts, autotest, rallying [driver & navigator] 4x4 trials and track days. This has given me a very valuable knowledge of motor sport and the rules governing it. In the early 90s I gave up competing and concentrated totally on photography and spent most weekends working with Nigel of EDP Photography whose help and advice I shall always be grateful for. I decided to specialise in taking “off road” photographs in the mid 90s, that is, 4x4 events, Motocross and Equestrian and have done this ever since. I changed to digital photography in 2004, this opened up a whole new approach to the service we offered and enabled us to print on site anywhere from a muddy field to a wedding venue. Pauline has always had a natural flare for taking photos, capturing some of the most amazing and unusual shots in all aspects of photography. She has always had a keen interest in Motor Sport as her father was very involved with motor racing. The Ferrari Dealership he owned was bought by Nigel Mansel when he retired. Her talent for taking natural looking photographs has helped to produce many wonderful wedding albums. Over the last few years weddings have become a very large part of our business and have taken us not only from St. Ives to Scotland but as far away as Sri Lanka, Hungary, Italy & Holland. |
